Expanding your classroom through free web technology: A critical evaluation of teaching for understanding with integrated web media.
Through three case studies, this workshop evaluates the effectiveness three free web applications to expand the teaching classroom beyond traditional contact time. The web media includes:
- Wiki software -- building a community knowledge base
- Photo sharing software -- providing critical visual feedback to students outside the design studio and
- Blog software -- archiving classroom assignments and facilitating student questions.
